Angharad Evans rubber stamped her ticket for an Olympic Games debut in Paris after a brilliant season of preparation in 2024 that included her breaking the Women's 100m Breaststroke British record.
Based at the University of Stirling, Angharad had threatened the best-ever British mark over 100m in the lead-up to April's Aquatics GB Swimming Championships - and while she narrowly missed out on it at that meet, she duly reset that record a month later, clocking a 1:05.54 in the same London Aquatics Centre pool at the AP Race International.
That will set her up well for Paris, at a Games - her first senior international appearance for GB - that could feature both individual and medley relay involvement as a breaststroker.
