London 2019 World Para Swimming Allianz Championships will see the best swimmers battle it out at the London Aquatics Centre in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Here’s our guide of when to see some of Britain’s biggest medal hopefuls in action along with their international rivals.


Please note: This table is based on seeing the swimmers in the final of their events at evening sessions. All swimmers must take part in qualifying heats held earlier in the day in order to reach the final.

Ellie Simmonds 400m Freestyle S6 In 2008 Simmonds won her first two Paralympic gold. Since then she has taken her Paralympic gold tally up to 5, set a world record and bagged multiple World Champion titles.

Ellie Robinson 50m Butterfly S6 Robinson holds the world record and Paralympic record for the S6 50m butterfly event & is known for her ‘gangsta swagger’ wearing an oversized coat with hood up when walking on.

Mikey Jones 400m Freestyle S7 At his debut Paralympic Games for Great Britain in Rio, Jones reached three finals and came out on top in the S7 400m Freestyle to claim gold and the title.

Ellen Keane 100 m Breaststroke SB8 The youngest Irish athlete to compete at a Paralympic Games, Keane is the current 100m breaststroke SB8 European champion and a bronze medallist from the 2016 Paralympics.

Simone Barlaam 100m Butterfly S9 At 18 years old, Barlaam is one of the most promising swimmers in the world following his four gold medals in the last European Championships.

Ievgenii Bogodaiko 50m Butterfly S7 Five-time Paralympic champion Bogodaiko is the star of one of the strongest Para swimming nations in the world.

Ihar Boki 100m Freestyle S13 Boki was the most successful athlete at the Rio 2016 Paralympics with six gold and one bronze medal.

Ellie Cole 100m Backstroke S9 Cole is a six-time Paralympic champion and 15-time Paralympic medallist.

Daniel Dias 50m Butterfly S5 Dias is the most awarded swimmer at the London World Championships with 24 Paralympic medallists, including six golds at London 2012.

Jessica Long 400m Freestyle S8 Long is a 13-time Paralympic champion who claimed five gold medals at London 2012.

Sophie Pascoe 50m Freestyle S9 Pascoe is a nine-time Paralympic champion and secured three golds at London 2012.
