Volunteers play a pivotal role in all events, so much so that without them, most wouldn’t happen. Our new volunteer strategy focusses on putting the experience of and support for the volunteer at the forefront.

A volunteer is someone who carries out a task for the benefit of others and does so unpaid. Volunteers are paid expenses that reimburse costs incurred whilst volunteering.

Many people find that volunteering is a useful stepping stone to a new career or further education and we are very proud to have provided a number of volunteers with the experience to go on to paid roles within the sporting industry.
