At Aquatics GB, we believe that every athlete should have the opportunity to compete at their best. However, we recognise that access to elite racing suits isn’t always equal. That’s why we’ve launched Race to Recycle, a pioneering initiative that not only supports athletes but also reinforces our commitment to sustainability.
How It Works
Through Race to Recycle, we’re creating a circular system where donated racing suits are either recycled or re-distributed to athletes who may otherwise struggle to purchase them. This ensures that high-performance kit continues to make an impact both in the pool and for the planet.
Athletes can donate pre-loved racing suits at selected Aquatics GB events, helping to:
- Reduce waste
- Champion inclusivity
- Empower more athletes to perform at their peak
Applying for a Race Suit
If you are facing financial hardship, you may be eligible to receive a pre-loved racing suit through the Race to Recycle programme.
Eligibility Criteria:
- You must be a registered member of a swimming club in Great Britain and provide your membership number.
- You must be experiencing financial difficulty and receiving a race suit would support your continued participation in swimming.

Programme Conditions:
- Race suits will be allocated based on availability and may not always match your requested size.
- Athletes may apply for one race suit per calendar year.
- The suits provided must not be resold.
- Some suits may be pre-used, but all will be professionally disinfected and stored appropriately before reallocation.
How to Apply
- Complete the Application Form – Available on our website.
- Application Review – You’ll receive an acknowledgment within four weeks.
- Postage & Packaging – A small postage fee applies, payable via Royal Mail.
- Receive Your Suit – Once payment is processed, your suit will be dispatched.
