The new choreography was to the theme of magic and saw the new look team score a total of 78.0667 to secure their first top eight finish.

In the Duet Free final, Genevieve Randall and Amy Campbell finished in 13th place with a score of 78.7333.

They performed the same choreography as the Olympic Duet of Jenna Randall and Olivia Federici.

Genevieve Randall said: “The Duet swim went well. We nailed a lot of the corrections. The final swim was better than the prelims swim which is promising. To swim the Olympic choreography is special and makes you step up your performance.

“It’s a great motivator that it got to sixth in the world. We were up against some of the best countries in the world which gave us a good challenge.

“Overall we are pleased with where we are. There is room for improvement but competitions like this give us a good opportunity to highlight what we need to do to take the next steps.”
