Brown and Randall narrowly shy of podium in Sheffield

In the international Junior Figures competition Jacqueline Simoneau of Canada took the top spot with an impressive score of 80.7418. Dutch swimmers Liza Foppen and Mirthe Kuperus finished claimed silver and bronze respectively with scores of 75.5782 and 74.6618.

Great Britain’s Brown ranked fourth with 74.1600 and was followed by teammate Randall in fifth place with a score of 73.1927.

National Performance Director, Biz Price commented, “It was disappointing not to get a medal in the Figures, especially as Jorja came fourth and was only 0.5 points away from bronze.

"The scores are really encouraging for the Synchro World Cup,"

"But this is a good benchmark for us to look at where we are against other countries like the Netherlands and the scores are really encouraging for the Synchro World Cup later this year and mean that our girls are likely to be some of the top athletes at that compeition."

In the domestic Junior Figures competition Corrie Leech representing Bristol Central scored 70.6655 to secure the gold medal while the second and third podium spots were awarded to Phoebe Bradley-Smith of City of Brimingham SC (69.5818) and Esme Lower of Reading Royals SSC (67.6400).
