Couch secures fourth in Shanghai

Tonia Couch secured fourth with a good performance in the women’s 10m Platform at the World Cup in Shanghai.

The Plymouth-based diver performed consistently within a world class field to finish just outside the medals with 330.90 points.

Couch finished as the second ranked Commonwealth athlete behind Australia’s Melissa Wu who finished in third (349.50 points).

Sarah Barrow, who secured fifth in the 10m Synchro with Couch yesterday, finished 11th after a good performance in her first World Cup 10m individual final.

Jack Laugher secured his place in tomorrow’s final of the 3m Springboard after qualifying second with a score of 507.00. Chris Mears finished in 15th with 412.05 points.
