Laugher aims for London with second gold

25 Apr 2015

British diver Jack Laugher added another FINA/NVC Diving World Series gold medal to his collection after taking top honours in the Men’s 3m Springboard at the third leg in Kazan.

His back-to-back victory, following a podium–topping performance in Dubai last month, saw the 20-year-old take the gold with a 30point cushion with another consistent and assured outing.

Laugher, who scored a massive 106.40 with his front four-and-a-half somersault dive, won gold with a score of 546.40 from Russia’s Ilia Zakharov with 516.70 for the silver and Germany’s Patrick Hausding with 512.20 with the bronze.

In the Women’s 3m Springboard, City of Leeds Becky Gallantree finished fifth with a score of 319.35.

The City of Leeds diver will be in action next weekend at the London leg of the FINA/NVC Diving World Series where the world’s best divers will compete at the Olympic aquatic centre. For tickets Click Here
