One of the country’s most experienced divers, Nick Robinson-Baker, has announced his retirement from the sport he has competed in for over ten years.
Robinson-Baker has represented Great Britain at two Olympic Games and three World Championships and recently came home from the 2014 Commonwealth Games with bronze in the 3m Synchro.

In 2012, Robinson-Baker finished in fifth place at the home Olympic Games in the 3m Synchro and has worked to inspire the next generation of athletes in programmes like SwimBritain and Swimtastic.
“After 21 years of diving and 13 of those competing for Great Britain I have decided to hang up my trunks,” Robinson-Baker said.
“The highlights of my career were definitely becoming the World Series champion, placing fifth in the Olympic final in London in front of a home crowd and to top it off becoming Commonwealth bronze medallist.
“Competing for my country at the highest level was a real honour. It's the end of an era but I am very excited about what my future holds.
“I will always have a passion for the sport of diving and really hope to stay involved in some way.

“Finally a huge thanks to Freddie Woodward for being a truly dedicated synchro partner for the last nine months and showing he has what it takes to be a champ. Also to my coach Tom Owens who was just exactly what I needed him to be for the last year of my diving career.”
National Performance Director Alexei Evangulov added: “Nick has been on almost every international team I have worked with since I joined British Diving in 2008 and I wish him every bit of luck for the future.
“Nick has consistently been within the world top ten throughout his career and I was very pleased for him to finish with bronze at the Commonwealth Games in front of a home crowd.”
