The men’s 3m Synchro and women’s 10m Synchro saw the British pairs finish in fifth place at the World Cup in Shanghai.

Tonia Couch and Sarah Barrow were competing against Olympic and World medallist and put in a consistent performance to score their highest ever score of 328.56 points.

The pair improved on their score from World Championships in Barcelona and secured fifth place overall.

Chris Mears and Jack Laugher were competing in their major international as a pair having only competed for the first time together in April at the London World Series.

Mears and Laugher showed their potential by remaining in the medal positions throughout the final but a drop in their final dive pushed them out of the medals.

They finished with a score of 411.81 and were ranked as the top Commonwealth pairing in the final.
