This year saw Rebecca Gallantree make history as the first female World Champion after she stood on top of the podium with Tom Daley.
Competing in the inaugural Mixed Team Event, they dominated the rounds with their impressive dives and finished with gold as the first world champions in the event.
The year began with the City of Leeds diver winning gold in the 3m individual at the British Championships in February and then going on to claim bronze in the 3m Synchro in the first leg of the FINA/NVC Diving World Series.
She performed consistently throughout the team event and enjoyed every moment of standing on top of the podium with Daley singing the national anthem.
"I can't quite believe it. It's a little bit surreal at the moment," said Gallantree. "To be honest, I'm gutted I didn't do a front like that in the synchro but obviously there's lots of positives to take out of it and I'm really looking forward to my individual now."
Daley paid tribute to his partner: "But to come away with a result like that is amazing. I had my highest score ever on the armstand, Becky did one of her best front dives in competition she's ever done.”
