European Champions Grace Reid and Alice Tai have been shortlisted for honours at the 2018 Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Awards.
Diver Reid, has been shortlisted in the Young Sportswoman of the Year award category after a highly successful season that saw her take the continental title in the 3m Springboard at Glasgow 2018.
Other accolades for Grace included gold at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and multiple visits to the podium on the FINA Diving World Series circuit.
Para-Swimmer Tai has been shortlisted for Disability Sportswoman of the year. The S8 athlete completed the swimming ‘grand-slam’ in 2018 after she added a Commonwealth title to her collection of Paralympic, World and European gold medals.
She then continued her world-class form into the summer’s World Para Swimming European Championships in Dublin where she claimed a quartet of gold medals.
SWOTY winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on the evening of Thursday, November 1.
The Awards, now in their 31st year, celebrate the outstanding contribution to sport made by elite performers, coaches, administrators, community volunteers and inspirational women.
The Awards are supported by the Sport and Recreation Alliance, UK Sport, Sport England and Women in sport.
