A dominant start to the heats on day four heats of the European Aquatics Championships in London saw a British one-two in the Women’s 200m Breaststroke.
Molly Renshaw led the attack to touch first and qualify
fastest for tonight’s semi-final. She’ll be joined by teammate Chloe Tutton
fresh from her bronze in the 100m Breast yesterday.
Duncan Scott booked his spot in the semi-finals of the Men’s 100m Freestyle. The Stirling-based swimmer competed his fourth event of the championships comfortably.
Laura Stephens, making her senior international debut at the European Aquatics Championships, qualified for the semi-finals of the Women’s 100m Butterfly in a new personal best time of 59.27.
Timothy Shuttleworth qualified for the Men’s 800m Freestyle final by swimming his own race in the opening heat and setting a new personal best of 7:52.33.
The session closed with the Women’s 4x200m Free relay. Britain were represented by Georgia Coates, Camilla Hattersley, Ellie Faulkner and Hannah Miley. The team touched second in their heat and qualified in fifth for the final this evening.
