Eight British swimmers have travelled out to Indianapolis to join European Allstars as they prepare to take on the force of the US for the Duel in the Pool which takes place from 11 – 12 December 2015.
The contingent includes double European short course champion Jazz Carlin and double world champion James Guy as they join forces with some of the best swimmers from the continent including double world champion Katinka Hosszu (HUN) and world champion Laszlo Cseh (HUN).
The format of the competition will see swimmers competing in straight finals across the short course pool and points being awarded to the team for the position of the athlete at the end of each race.
British Swimming Head Coach Bill Furniss said: “One of our big focuses over the past two years has been to encourage athletes to compete more often to practice their racing preparation and skills.
“We know we have to move it forward again next year. We had a good World Championships in 2015 but we also know our level of performance has to improve again because Rio will be a sterner test.”
