Graham Wardell has been announced as the new Head Coach for the City of Cardiff Swimming Club.
Wardell has been coaching for the past 30 years and most recently he led Scotland as Head Coach to their best performance at a Commonwealth Games.
The former City of Glasgow Head Coach is returning to the club where he learnt to swim at the age of nine.
In his career he has guided Robbie Renwick to the Olympic final in 2012 and to his Commonwealth Games gold medal in 2010.
Swim Wales CEO Robert James said: “We welcome Graham back to Wales and look forward to him bringing his experience and managerial skills to the programme in Cardiff.
“Graham, who is a Welshman from Cardiff, was the Head Coach of the successful Scottish Swimming team at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games which he shared with his role of the Head Coach of City of Glasgow Swim Team.”
