After making her making her return to competitive racing late last year, Eleanor Simmonds claimed three gold at the Indianapolis World Para Swimming World Series
Simmonds’ first gold of the three day World Series leg came in the in the Women’s MC 400m Freestyle she touched home more than 13 seconds ahead of the silver medallist, Mexico’s Trejo Delagadill. Bronze went to Ireland’s Nicole Turner.
The Women’s MC 100m Breast title was also claimed on day one by Simmonds. She was joined on the podium at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis by host nation swimmer Ahalya Lettenberger who took silver and bronze again went to Irish swimmer Nicole Turner.
Her third and final gold medal came on the second day of the meet in the Women’s MC 200m Individual Medley. The SM5 swimmer clocked a time of 3:10.54 to take another gold.

The next stop of the 2018 World Para Swimming World Series will be Sao Paulo in Brazil (26-28 April), then Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy (24-27 May) before para-swimmers from across the world arrive in Sheffield for the UK leg from the 31 May – 3 June.
